twigLimbs body in motion by twigling twigLimbs body in motion by twigling
Dollstown Elysia head on the twigLimbs body. This photo was taken by skumring ([link]) aka Britta Bergersen.

This particular image shows the hip, knee, elbow and torso locks in action and is one of my favourites because she looks so vulnerable.

I don't get it it must be close to impossible to make resin dolls!

I wouldn't say impossible, not even close. But it does take patience and practise.

This body is beautiful. I love everything with it, especially how natural it is. She looks like a real woman in her poses, and the sculpt is just.. so beautiful and unique. I hope I can get a Twiglimbs body for my next doll <3 Can it fit with SD13 Volks heads?

Yes it can fit Volks heads, but the colour may be off. Newer Volks heads are more pink. The body in this picture is discontinued, but the Ylisande body is still available from Enchantmentdoll.com.

im confused by the back joint..
can you explain what that middle piece is??
very beautiful doll... I ENVY YOU ! :D

It's a separate piece that gets glued in, it helps lock the upper torso into more extreme forward (slouch) and backward (arch) poses. In the new body this piece has been omitted and the shape of the lower torso by itself locks the upper torso into slouch or arching mode.

...She can fold her knees up. That's just beautiful. No matter how you make those joints, they work well. Especially that the transitions are so smooth, looks so natural.
And she does look vulnerable! Another thing I like about her, she's so expressive. (great "collab" there with model and photographer!)

Thank you:) I think that the smooth transitions in this case are more a trick of the photography than anything else.. picking the right angle and so on.. the joints are actually quite jarring from some angles. My next work is a lot smoother, I learned a lot from this first one.

Now I see the back looks a little odd... (but then, less odd than other constructions, the only commercial dolls that seem to bend like that and still look good are those Pukipuki) Will be interesting to see the next doll then :)

But I think these are the most natural-looking I've seen so far; they might need tweaking, but they're following the expected form of a body already.

Hey Roxy:D Thanks for the faves;)

If you want a body for Faux I can accommodate you, but not for a couple of weeks, as we're moving house next weekend and I don't want to do any more casting till I have my home and my studio in one location as I am sick of driving back and forth and putting up with the tenants going in and out all the time. But email me and we'll sort it out for sure.

FANTASTIC, can you match old volks resin???

No worries on the move, Eddie and I are going to visit his parents in the UK so I probably cannot afford it until after that? If that's okay? I've been desperately hunting... and I keep seeing your body... the posing just floors me always has. ;)

I'll drop you a line and we can work from there!

Not been very successful at matching any kind of resin.. except the beauty white. Faux is BW isn't she? I can try anyway, but no guarantees.

I'll get more resin ordered when I am all out. It's not good for long term storage, so I try to use what I have before I order more.

Enjoy your trip:)

She is INDEED oldskin bw. She's slightly yellow, so I don't mind if she doesn't quite match, as long as the BW isn't too pink? Thats the problem I've been having. Everything is matched to pureskin... and she's WAY OLD. original F-08 bw. I think she was 2 years when I bought her... a year ago (or so)?

So when are you headed to the UK with hubby? I can get more resin before xmas if you'd like it sooner, but after is also fine ~ just email me or send me a deviant note.

The most pressing excuse for not casting for you at the moment is of course that I am out of untinted resin......

Nice shot, and well doneall the way around. I have been photographing toys lately too. But I then make large paintings, for a different effect. I like what you have done here, and the rest of your gallery too.
